Meet Deku!

READY for his Furever Home and Next Adventure!

This sweet boy was surrendered to ASF through no fault of his own and has been settling into his foster home for the past few weeks. Deku is a 4.5-year-old purebred Australian Shepherd currently being fostered in Massachusetts.

This big, handsome guy loves everyone he meets and would happily greet people all day long! Deku also loves hiking, swimming, and running along the water, so his perfect home would be with someone active and ready for adventure.

While he is always up for fun, Deku is also a sweet, cuddly boy in the house. He's not overly active and is perfectly content to nap the day away when needed.

Deku is fully house and crate trained and sleeps overnight in his crate, though he reportedly loved sleeping in bed with his previous owner. Following his foster family around the house is one of his favorite hobbies.

Deku does well with other dogs and is currently living with three male dogs in his foster home. He does not appreciate dogs who get in his face, so he may prefer calmer, low-key canine companions. He is non-reactive to dogs on walks but is nervous around cats, so he would prefer a no-kitty household. He'd also do best in a home with children aged 12+.

Deku is neutered, up to date on preventatives, and will soon be fully up to date on vaccines.
