IF THIS LISTING IS STILL UP, the pet is still available for adoption!

***Please read this first, as it answers the majority of questions we receive***
E-mails or contact forms that are submitted prior to completing an adoption application will not be answered. Applications are located at:
www.aussierescue.org

If you are interested in one of our dogs but live outside of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, or Colorado, please select Texas as your state (but keep all other info the same) when completing your app so it can be routed to us for consideration.

Once we receive your application, we will contact you. Our organization requires prospective adopters to complete a screening process prior to meeting with dogs in our program. This process includes:
- Completion of Adoption Application
- Veterinarian Check
- Reference Checks (non-relatives)
- Home Visit

Our ultimate goal is to screen and counsel potential homes to the best of our ability in an effort to find the most perfect match and fit for their lifestyle.

Please keep in mind that color and appearance of the available dog will have no bearing on adoption placement decisions.

ABOUT STERLING:
Rep: Laura Kempf / aussie330@aol.com

Sterling is located in Bedford, TX and it is required that you travel there to meet him in person within 10 days of application approval if you want to adopt (exceptions can be made for out-of-state applicants). We do need the entire party to be involved when meeting available dogs, including every family member and dog(s) that currently live in your home.

Sterling is ready for his forever home.

He has springs in his feet and curls into a circle when excited/happy. He loves being outside, no thunderstorm anxiety, enjoys scritches and belly rubs, sleeps quietly in a kennel, no marking in the house, and will keep your lap warm any chance he gets.

He and his foster brother are enjoying chasing each other in the backyard and hunting for lizards (If someone is looking for a dog to do barn hunt this could be your guy.)

Rides in the car quietly. No carsickness.

He would love to be in your lap or resting his head on your leg any chance he gets. ❤️

Overall a nice boy who would probably prefer to be an only dog again so he gets all the attention.
