Meet Radiant Remi — A Soft-Hearted Beauty

Remi is a 4 yo, 27# purebred Miniature Australian Shepherd with the kind of quiet magic that unfolds slowly. She is smart, gentle, loving, and naturally a little shy with new people. Remi is a delightful blend of athletic and easygoing. She enjoys walks and the occasional car ride but mostly enjoys gentle time at home. She is tentatively affectionate and remarkably intelligent — the kind of dog who will thrive with someone who enjoys helping a bright dog blossom.

Remi is completely house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in the car, gets along with other dogs and cats. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and very healthy.

Remi has had limited exposure to men so she does avoid them unless they are sitting down. Then she will approach for gentle pets and couch snuggles. She is also a HIGH FLIGHT RISK UNTIL BONDED (3+ MONTHS MINIMUM). Remi lived in a kennel setting for her entire life so the big wide world is rather scary.

Remi needs an individual or family, located in the Portland Metro Area, who is kind, patient and gentle. Someone who is able to provide careful door/gate management, a thoughtful escape-prevention plan and a home that understands shy dogs. Aussie experience is a plus! A fenced yard is helpful but not required, as long as adopters are committed to keeping her safe. Her ideal scenario would be with a mature, present, and mindful individual / family.
