Meet Tails, a handsome Australian Shepherd with a soft heart and so much love to give. This sweet boy is equal parts playful adventure buddy and cuddly best friend. He enjoys spending time with people he trusts, loves affection, and is always happy to soak up attention once he feels comfortable.

Tails can be a little shy and wary when meeting new people, so he would do best in a calm home with adults or older children who understand and respect his boundaries. Give him a little patience and kindness, and you’ll quickly see his loving, goofy personality shine through.

He’s crate trained, good with other dogs, and even does well with cats! Tails has also been doing wonderfully on leash with our volunteers and is gaining confidence every day. Whether he’s out exploring or relaxing beside you after a long day, Tails is ready to be someone’s loyal companion.

The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns.
