Prancy is a lovely girl, about 30-35 lbs. Her color pattern does not match any Aussie standards so we are calling her a mix. Her coat seems to be dark brown, with copper and white trim. Her nose leather and eye rims are black, so that would make her a black tri. But her coat seems to be a lovely dark brown. Go figure. Her coat will be very full and lovely once it grows out. She is a lovely girl.
Her gorgeous plume of a tail wags like crazy when you speak to her and she likes head scratches. She seeks affection.
Prancy is truly a country girl come to town. She doesn’t seem to have ever been indoors before. She is doing very well with house manners and housebreaking, no accidents. She is quiet.
She finds her crate to be her safe place so she seeks it out when uncertain. Every day she becomes a little braver and she is now making play overtures to the other dogs. We think she would love a doggy playmate that she can trust to show her the ropes. Or a person of her own.
She is learning to walk on lead but the world is a scary place! She is great with cats and other dogs. Kids are unknown. She can be handled as necessary—adjusting her collar, giving her a pill, putting her in the car, etc, so she is trusting.
Prancy’s perfect home would have patient folks who will help her gradually expand her horizons, her past world seems to have been very small. Her potential is huge, she just needs a confident handler whom she can a rely on to keep her safe. Group obedience work should really help. She wants to please, she just doesn’t know what to do.
Prancy is being fostered near Gettysburg, PA. To apply for her, visit www.ns4ar.org
