Meet Keegan Wishbone, an 11-week-old (6/4) Aussie / Boxer mix, weighing approx. 17 pounds (as of 6/4/26). The WISHBONE litter were taken from a hoarding case in Tennessee and their biggest wish is to find a fur-ever home. They can't wait to share their magic with you!
In three words, Keegan is: Playful. Loving. Magical. Actually, he might not have magic but he knows he where to find it! When he's out playing and exploring the world around him, Keegan is always sure to stumble across 4-leaf clovers. It's your lucky day! Not only do you get to make a wish, but you get to cuddle up with this adorable love bug too. It's a win-win!
The Wishbones will grow to be a good size for a family. Their mom and dad were both around 35-40 pounds, so we expect them to be roughly the same. These cutie patooties have lived with other dogs and get along well. While they don't have experience with kids or cats yet, they wish they could! Since the Wishbones were pulled from a hoarding case, they are a little shy around humans at first, but are making progress to trust them. Maybe bribing them with treats is in your future? They hope you'll have patience as they master all the puppy training (potty, leashes, commands, etc.) though they have been crated for travel. These beautiful pups will make amazing family pets; you'll wish you met them sooner!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
