Meet Gobi - named after the Gobi dessert! This is going to be someone's dream Aussie!
Notes from Gobi's prior family:
Gobi is a nearly one year old Australian Shepherd, who was born on a farm in northern Missouri. He is an extremely excitable puppy with the absolute love for people and other dogs. Gobi doesn't have a bad bone in his body, and if it were up to him he would play all the time! You can always tell how happy Gobi is by his staple tongue-outside-the-mouth smile. Like any Australian Shepherd, he has an extremely high energy threshold, and he would do great with a lot of space to keep him occupied.
Gobi is also extremely smart. He knows how to communicate what he wants, whether its food, water, to play with his favorite toys, or even to go to bed. He has learned a number of commands, including: sit, lay down, place, off, crate, and here. Gobi learns new things very fast and is extremely food motivated, so training him to learn new concepts has been extremely easy.
He is very curious, and loves to explore new things and sniff at whatever he hasn't already seen before. In our building, he has become well known by everyone because he has such a love for meeting new people (and they rightfully want to say hello just as badly). If our household had the space to fulfill his needs, Gobi would absolutely stay with us. However,
as a herding dog, we're excited to see him in a happy home with the space that would allow him to thrive!
