UPDATE!!✠̈
Meet Gwinnie! This sweet girl was found as a stray and taken in by a Good Samaritan! Sadly, this poor girl appeared to be very pregnant and the Good Samaritan could not keep so she was surrendered to us. Upon her arrival it was determined she was actually not pregnant but retaining fluids. She has started meds and after a rough start is doing well and the fluid is coming off. We are hoping after a month on the meds she can be weaned off and will never have to look back. The fluid is caused from heartworm disease which is so disappointing because this could have so easily been prevented just by giving prevention. The rescue will donate a 2 years of slow kill treatment to Gwennies adopter. Typically, you get a negative read on a Heartworm test in 12-18 months with this method and Gwennie is expected to make a full recovery. Other than the fluid she shows no signs. She’s the sweetest and most laid back dog you will ever meet. There’s not one thing she doesn’t get along with. She’s quiet, perfect in the house, crate, car and on a leash. This girl was failed by humans yet has so much love to give back. She’s a super sweet Heeler mix. He’s around 2-3 years old and 40 lbs. She’s calm and loving. She thinks she’s a lap dog and will cuddle on the couch and bed all day long. She’s great with cats and dogs. She utd, spayed and ready for her perfect family!
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.
