Meet Emerald, a gentle giant with a heart as big as her paws. This beautiful Anatolian Shepherd mix is estimated to be about a year old and has quickly won over everyone she meets with her sweet, easygoing nature.

Emerald was found wandering in a corn field near a farm in the Yakima Valley. Given her breed and where she was discovered, it's possible she was intended to be a livestock guardian but wasn't given the chance to succeed. Whatever her past may have been, she's ready to find the loving home she deserves.

Despite her size, Emerald is remarkably mild-mannered and gentle. She approaches the world with quiet curiosity and kindness. She's shown interest in cats without being overly intense, appears to get along well with other dogs, and has been respectful around chickens. (Please note: Emerald is being kept outside at the farm where she was rescued, so we don't actually know if she's housetrained..... however, a smart girl like her will catch on quickly if she isn't already house broken!)

Emerald would likely thrive in a home that appreciates her calm temperament and can provide her with stability and companionship. Whether she's relaxing by your side or exploring the yard, Emerald's sweet personality shines through.
