He was rescued from Orange County Animal Services in Orlando moments before he was scheduled to be euthanized. After coming into rescue, Gaten underwent treatment for "happy tail" and ultimately had his tail amputated so he could heal comfortably and move forward pain-free.

Despite everything he's been through, Gaten has remained nothing but sweet, friendly, and full of love. He adores people, enjoys making new friends, and has a happy, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around.
