Hi, I’m Mishka

I’m a beautiful Alaskan Malamute with the soul of a gentle little bear who absolutely adore people. Meeting new humans is one of my favourite things, and I’m always ready to make a new friend. Because I’m a big, enthusiastic girl, I’d do best in a home with adults or older kids who can help me keep practicing my manners.

I’m also a social dog who enjoys being around other pups. I can be a little optimistic when making new dog friends (I just assume everyone wants to play!), but with guidance, I’m continuing to build great social skills. I would likely do really well with a playful, confident dog — or as a solo dog with regular opportunities to socialize.

I’m a smart girl and love to learn — especially if snacks are involved (which they always should be, in my opinion). I already know “sit” and I’m working on skills like “down,” “touch,” and recall. I walk beautifully on leash, I’m crate trained, and I settle nicely while waiting for my people to come home.

My energy level is a lovely balance. I enjoy walks, playtime, and even the occasional adventure, but I’m just as happy relaxing and hanging out with my humans. Think: hiking buddy and cozy companion.

And every now and then… I might share a little malamute “song” — just a soft howl or two to keep things interesting.

My dream home?

An active, loving home that will include me in their life — whether that’s exploring outdoors or relaxing together at the end of the day. I’d thrive with people who will continue my training, appreciate my affectionate nature, and maybe even accept the occasional bear hug.
