Maine Coon Cats Available for Adoption in Fort Worth, Texas

Zeus who was adopted from us as a kitten but returned after 2 years due to his owner's son developing an allergy to cats. Oreo was the bonded partner who was returned with him and they must be adopted together.

Zeus is very shy. After 2 months in their foster home, Zeus finally came out from under the bed, checking things out. Still unable to touch him, he did sniff your hand, and currently can be petted or brushed on his back as he walks by but cannot be picked up.. We feel that an adopter with a lot of patience and space (without so many other cats) Zeus will become more outgoing.

Oreo is a sweet and simple dude with thick fur that is black on top and white near his skin. He likes to nap early in the day and play in the afternoon and early evening when his people get home. He loves to have his back scratched and to have his coat brushed. He is a little shy around new faces but warms up quickly after a little space and time to explore his surroundings. He would do well with only his buddy Zeus and no young children or dogs. Few other cats are not afraid of him, he is so large and confident. Oreo likes to cuddle with his human and watch TV and is very talkative.

Both cats choose toys from their toybox and play with them off and on. They are very picky about their litterbox and hate when other cats use it. Both love to sit in an open screened window and watch the world outside. Both are large and heavy cats.
