If you’re looking for a rags-to-riches story, move over Cinderella, because Sir Silvester Storm has arrived! This handsome gentleman, aged somewhere between 3-5 years, was discovered during one of this winter’s most brutal snowstorms by a Good Samaritan. Silvester was barely able to move. Huddled in a pile of ice and snow, surviving on the only thing he could find: a cold side of French fries.
Our incredible vet team took one look at this salty survivor and jumped into action. After a lot of love, high-quality nourishment (zero potatoes involved!), and extensive medical care, Silvester has blossomed into a thriving, healthy indoor king. He has spent his time in foster home proving that he is much more than a survivor—he is affectionate, funny, chirpy, playful and adorable darling. On any given afternoon, you can find him stretched out on a windowsill, watching the world go by from the safety of a heated room, likely thinking about how much he doesn’t miss the snow.
Silvester is a social butterfly who loves the company of people and fellow felines. He’s a fan of the classics when it comes to entertainment: string toys and crackling toys are his favorites. When it comes to dogs, he’s a bit of a skeptic—he’ll likely give a canine roommate a look that says, "I survived a blizzard, don't test me"—but he is willing to coexist peacefully with a calm, friendly dog who respects his personal space.
Now, let’s talk about the fine print. Silvester is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and FeLV negative. He is FIV positive, but don’t let that scary acronym fool you. This isn’t a dark cloud over his head; but more like a "handle with extra love" sticker. FIV+ cats live long, vibrant, healthy lives just like other cats. FIV is slow moving virus that when, taken for regular check-ups, giving regular healthy meals, will likely never show symptoms.
Sir Sil is officially ready to trade in his "outdoor survivalist" badge for a "permanent couch potato lap cat" permit. If your home has a sunny window, a few spare strings, and a lot of love to give, Silvester is ready to show you that the best things in life come from the most unexpected places—sometimes even from a pile of snow and a stray French fry.
