Meet Quintessa – Ready for Pre-Adoption Soon Quintessa is a female domestic short-haired kitten born in our care on 03/10/26. She will be available for pre-adoption on 04/30/26 (7 weeks old) and ready to go home on 05/07/26. Kittens must remain with their littermates until at least 7 weeks of age to support proper social development. At this age, Quintessa will need a home prepared for a young kitten—one that can provide time, attention, play, and a safe environment as she grows. Her adoption fee is $75, which includes her spay, microchip, rabies vaccine, first FVRCP booster, and first dewormer. She is scheduled for her spay on 06/03/26 at 12 weeks old, which is non-negotiable per Texas state law. An approved application is required prior to meet and greets and adoption. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
