Gilligan - Domestic Short Hair Cat Available for Adoption in Rockford, Michigan

Gilligan is an approximately 12 year old super sweet boy. He was found as a soaking wet kitten abandoned on a stormy night (which sounds a little bit like his namesake’s story). His human brought him in that night and made a loving home for him for these last 12 years until she recently passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. Gilligan now finds himself looking for another family to share his golden retirement.

Gilligan’s foster mom has described him as an absolute sweetheart who gave her head butts within hours of his arrival at his foster home. He can be a little shy initially when he meets a new person but he will gradually come out to see what’s happening and once he knows he can trust you, he’s a lap cat who enjoys being petted.

Even though he’s a little bit older, he still enjoys playing particularly with toy mice, wand toys, or chasing a laser pointer. Gilligan is a quiet cat for the most part but he does have a nice purr. He enjoys lounging and taking a nap with his human family member and was a great companion to his previous mom.
