DESCRIPTION

These two fungal friends are around 3ish months and being treated for suspected ringworm! They're otherwise in pretty good shape, but would vastly prefer to grow up in a home setting, as opposed to the shelter. They enjoy a good rousing wrestling match, play time with toys, and allllll the kitten snacks their caretakers can spare.

You can learn more about how PAWS treats ringworm here: https://phillypaws.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PAWS-Ringworm-Guide-Foster-Pre-adopt.pdf

------------------------------------

These pets are currently being treated for ringworm, a mild fungal infection of the skin that usually clears up within 6-8 weeks of starting treatment. Ringworm care can actually be a breeze with the right set-up and if you have the time to dedicate to it, but it can be a bit tedious since it can spread easily to any living creature and requires some caution to prevent that. Unless the home has enough space to keep everyone fully and safely separated, we would love to find a home without any really young kids or other pets, just to limit the risk of exposure. All the follow-up care we provide for your ringworm pet is free of charge at our Grays Ferry clinic while they finish their treatment with you, and this cat's adoption fee is waived! Our staff will be happy to tell you more about Ringworm, and you can learn more about Ringworm here: phillypaws.org/ringworm-faq

Because these pets aren't yet altered, they are only eligible for adoption via our Pre-Adopt program, which will require an extra verification step as well as a $100 deposit per animal that is fully refunded after their spay/neuter surgeries. Any additional questions about this can be covered when you reach out about them!**

------------------------------------

These cats are currently located at PAWS Grays Ferry clinic, which is not a walk-in facility. In order to meet with any cats at Grays Ferry, you will need to have a fully processed and approved application first. To get the adoption process started, please submit an adoption application online at phillypaws.org/catapp.

Our Ringworm cats are often overlooked, so if you feel like your home would be a fit, please apply and reach out to us to by emailing adoption@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext.30 to learn more!
