Muffy - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Do you know the Muffy Man? Yes, we know the Muffy Man! Muffy's foster family took to calling him "Muffy Man" to remind them that despite he adorably cute face and female namesake, he is in fact a little man of a kitten. Although he was uncertain about these humans who kept singing to him when he first came to stay with his foster family, he became so enthusiastic about the twice daily arrival of his wet food that he very quickly warmed up. While it isn't very often that he will come to seek out a cuddle on your lap, when picked up he is content to hang out as long as you offer belly rubs. Getting to know this Muffy Man also taught his caregivers that he is a big time faker who will issue some whiny meows when playing rough and tumble with his sister Francine, but will get right back to it if she stops playing. Those same gentle protests came at first when he needed to be handled for nail trims or routine oral meds, but would be followed with purrs once he realized that people aren't so bad, that they can find the just right spot for a belly rub, and they can actually be fun for sparring matches between paws and fingers. Fingers are a favorite play-thing and you can always get Muffy's attention with a finger peeking out from behind an unexpected spot. But feathers are his absolute favorite. Toys with feathers that he can leap for and pounce into submission are irresistible. Welcoming Muffy into your home will assure that you can enjoy a fairly independent cat who won't demand your attention, but who will happily enjoy lots of sweet playtime when you make the first move.
