DESCRIPTION
Bells ACCT-A-250897 is an approximately 8-month-old spayed female cat who was brought to the shelter as a stray by an Animal Protection Officer on 5/22. Bells has a heart murmur and wounds on her right front leg, but that does not stop this sweet girl from reaching out for attention and affection.
Medical:
On 5/22 exam Doctor noted: "Stray community cat reported to be attacked by a dog. Bright, alert, responsive. No ocular/nasal/aural discharge. Normal cervical palpation. Mild gingivitis, no apparent oral masses or foreign bodies. Grade IV/VI systolic heart murmur. MM pink and moist, CRT less than 2 sec. Clear lung fields bilaterally, no crackles or wheezes. Non weightbearing RFL, swelling present. Dirty fur coat.

On 5/22 APO noted: "Bells was attacked by a dog, one of the front legs appears to be broken."
Behavior:
On 5/26 staff noted: "I went to meet Bells in her kennel. She was a little head shy at first but then began leaning into pets. She enjoyed scratches under her chin and behind her ears. She started making biscuits the more comfortable she got with me being there. Sweet, little kitty!"
On 5/22 APO noted: "Picked up one stray injured confined cat from inside of location.Easy to handle, feeder said that he handles all of his cats."
