Hi, I'm Patches.

I'm a 12 1/2-year-old lady with a beautiful coat, a strong personality, and a past that hasn't always been easy. I was originally surrendered when my owner moved and couldn't take me along. I thought I had found my second chance when I was adopted, but I was later returned after a biting incident. I completed my bite quarantine without any issues and haven't shown any signs of aggression since then.

The people here believe it may have been a situational circumstance, but because of my history, I need someone who understands me and is willing to take things slow. I'm very well behaved when I'm comfortable and doing things on my own terms, but I don't appreciate being pushed into situations before I'm ready. Slow introductions to new people, animals, and environments will help me feel safe and build trust.

At this stage in my life, I'm not asking for much - just patience, understanding, and a calm home where I can relax and be loved for who I am. I still deserve a soft place to land and someone willing to see past my mistakes.

I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and I'm ready to find the quiet forever home I've been waiting for.
