Luna is a 7-year-old, intelligent, playful, and friendly cat looking for her forever home!

Luna has the grace and confidence of a mature adult cat with the curiosity and energy of a much younger one. She is affectionate, social, and loves "talking" with her humans through her wide range of soft mrrps and meows. While she enjoys occasional quiet time to herself, she truly loves being near her people and other cats.

She is not a lap cat and values her personal space, but she is deeply companionable. Luna is happiest napping beside you on the couch, brushing against your leg, or politely sitting nearby asking for head scratches before returning to her own activities. She especially loves scratches on her head, cheeks, chin, and near the base of her tail, and she enjoys being talked to and included in daily life.

Luna is a high energy and highly intelligent cat who thrives with interactive play. She loves small mouse toys, strings, and shoelaces, and she is an expert ambush hunter with impressive pouncing skills and lightning-fast reactions. She enjoys play sessions that mimic real hunting behavior and does best when play ends with a treat as her "successful catch." Puzzle feeders and motorized toys would likely be a huge hit with her.

When she is not in play mode, Luna is calm, observant, and content to loaf nearby while keeping an eye on everything around her. She prefers staying close to the ground but enjoys lounging on the back of the couch or a cat tower. Like many cats, she also loves boxes. One of her favorite possessions is a beach towel that she happily wrestles with and scratches to her heart's content.

Luna currently lives in a one bedroom apartment and adapts very well to indoor life. She enjoys sleeping at the foot of the bed, lounging on the couch, rolling dramatically across the floor, and birdwatching from the window. She also has a strange but undeniable fascination with firetrucks.

She would thrive in a home with another friendly cat or a kitten looking for a confident adult companion. Luna is social and patient but comfortable enforcing her boundaries when needed, making her an excellent role model for younger cats. She may also do well with respectful older children who understand cat boundaries.

Luna is wonderfully well mannered. She does not jump on counters or tables, keeps her litter box tidy, and does not chew or eat random household objects. She enjoys routine and thrives with regular feeding, playtime, and companionship. Because she is more social and playful than many cats her age, she would do best in a home where she has either a feline playmate or a human willing to engage with her regularly.

Luna does not enjoy being restrained or held still, so brushing, nail trims, and medication can require patience and experience. However, she has never responded with aggression. She simply prefers cooperation over restraint. Even when overstimulated during play, she is careful with her claws.

While Luna can tolerate time alone, she bonds closely with her humans and will become lonely if regularly isolated from them. Her ideal home is one where she is welcomed into everyday spaces and treated like a true companion.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
