Zhara is a nine-week-old black Domestic Shorthair kitten with bright blue-green eyes, a sleek little coat, and all the charm and curiosity that makes kittens so completely irresistible. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 23rd and at just 1.5 lbs she is tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand — but her presence is anything but small.

Black kittens are often overlooked in shelters, which is a shame because they are just as loving, playful, and wonderful as any other cat. Zhara is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and ready in every way for a home of her own. Those striking blue-green eyes alone are enough to stop anyone in their tracks.

At nine weeks old Zhara is at the perfect age to come home — young enough to bond deeply with her new family and grow up knowing exactly where she belongs. She is at the very beginning of her story and has so many wonderful years ahead of her.
