Meet Dahlia – the tiniest tabby with the biggest heart and a story of resilience.

Dahlia is a gorgeous 6-month-old brown tabby with a huge personality and an endless love for playtime. The moment you pick up a wand toy, she's ready to run, jump, and show off her playful spirit. She especially loves spending time with her foster mate, Cindy, whose confidence blossoms around Dahlia. The two share a special bond, and we would love to see them adopted together if possible.

Beyond her playful nature, Dahlia is incredibly affectionate, bright, and full of life. She has been living with chronic upper respiratory symptoms, mainly intermittent nasal congestion and mucus buildup, but she doesn't let that slow her down or dampen her happy personality.

To ensure every possible cause was explored, Dahlia has undergone extensive veterinary testing and treatment. She has tested negative for feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), and has been evaluated for several infectious respiratory illnesses, including Chlamydia, calicivirus, herpesvirus, and Mycoplasma. She has also completed multiple courses of antibiotics to rule out a persistent bacterial infection.

In addition, Dahlia underwent a nasopharyngeal examination under anesthesia, where her soft palate and upper airway were carefully evaluated for masses, polyps, or structural abnormalities. Her sinuses were also flushed during the procedure. Based on her findings and ongoing symptoms, veterinarians suspect Dahlia may have abnormally narrow nasal passages, which can make it easier for mucus and fluid to accumulate.

Because of this, Dahlia experiences both good days and more congested days. Some days she breathes comfortably with very little discharge, while on others she may have more noticeable congestion and mucus buildup. She is currently managed with saline nasal drops to help loosen secretions and keep her comfortable. While this condition is expected to be lifelong, Dahlia continues to thrive and enjoy life to the fullest.
