Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption in Herndon, Virginia

Vince is a handsome tuxedo cat with beautiful, soulful eyes. His left eye has an opacity from an old scar, which makes him look like a mysterious cat with ancient knowledge of the world’s secrets.

Vince loves people, but is not needy or overbearing. If he could talk, he would surely confirm that one of his favorite pastimes is couch time with his people. . Another one is sitting by the window, watching the birds and squirrels . At times he enjoys playing with cat toys, chasing small balls or batting paper streamers.

He does great with other cats and dogs. He approaches gently, and respects other animals’ boundaries, as he has shown with two senior cats, a handicapped cat, and a small dog in his foster home. It’s so heartwarming to watch him do little nose boobs with other cats when he greets them.

Vince is quite easy going and not skittish. He is not even afraid of the vacuum cleaner. He walks right up to it while it is in use, while other kitties run under the bed (no, he is not deaf, just very mellow).

He keeps his shiny tuxedo coat clean and has impeccable litter box manners.

At almost 10 years of age, Vince is considered a senior, although we see him as a middle-aged gentleman cat, who has still many more years of life to live (cats can live +/- 20 years). He has a condition called feline hyperthyroidism, for which he takes an inexpensive medication easily in his food.
Senior cats have an immense amount of love to give and are appreciative for being rescued. They also have incredible personalities and sometimes they can be as playful as a kitten! Of course, the greatest thing about adopting a senior cat is saving a life. By opening your home and heart, you can give Vince a new life.
