Hi, I’m Commander! I’m a big, handsome 5-year old guy with a silky black coat and a name that sounds tough… but don’t let that fool you. I’m really just a soft-hearted cuddlebug underneath it all.

Once I feel safe (I just need a little time, promise!), my true personality shines. I love belly rubs—like, roll-over-on-my-back, stretch-my-paws-out kind of love. It’s kind of my signature move.

I get along well with other cats, but dogs aren’t really my thing. I’d be happiest in a home where I can relax, feel secure, and be your loyal companion. Oh—and fair warning—I’m very food motivated. If you’ve got treats, you’ve got my full attention.

Life hasn’t always been kind to me, but I’m ready for a fresh start. I’m just looking for a soft place to land and someone to love me for who I am.
