Mary’s story is one of those quiet heartbreaks that rescue sees far too often.
Back in May of 2024, this sweet young cat appeared as a stray at the home of a kind senior woman who loved cats with all her heart. Mary was only about 6 months old then — just a baby looking for safety, food, and someone to care. Thankfully, she found exactly that. She was welcomed in, loved deeply, and finally knew what it meant to belong. Now at only 2.5 years old, Mary is homeless once again. Her beloved senior mom recently passed away, leaving behind many wonderful cats who were cherished members of her family. These cats were loved every single day, and now they desperately need new homes where they can feel safe and cared for again.
Mary is truly one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet. She absolutely adores affection and would happily spend all day curled up in your lap, making biscuits and drifting off to sleep while being loved on. She has the kind of gentle, comforting personality that makes a house feel like home. Mary is an indoor/outdoor girl who mostly enjoys being outside exploring and lounging in the sunshine, though she definitely appreciates the comforts of indoors during bad weather and especially when dinner is being served. She’s independent in the sweetest way, but deeply connected to her people too. It is heartbreaking that after finally finding love and stability, Mary has lost everything all over again. She deserves another chance at the safe, happy life she once had.
If you can open your heart and home to this precious girl, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Please share for Mary. Somewhere out there is another person who needs her just as much as she needs them. â¤ï ̧
