DESCRIPTION

Meet Max — an affectionate, sensitive cat who thrives on companionship and calm routines. Max has lived with cats and dogs in past homes and has done well with other pets who respect his boundaries. Max is a true cuddle-lover who enjoys curling up with his favorite people and soaking in quiet quality time. He tends to bond most closely with those who are gentle and present with him. In his past, he gravitated toward older children and preferred calm interactions over high-energy environments.

A home where someone is around often—or one with another friendly pet companion—could help him feel secure and supported. With a consistent routine and attentive care, Max’s loving nature shines brightly. Max is ready to join a home that can give him the time, affection, and gentle environment he needs to feel safe and happy. In return, he offers a deep well of affection, devoted companionship, and plenty of cozy snuggles.

If you’d like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalservices/adopt
