Cat by Cat Inc. adopts kittens 4 months (16 weeks) and younger only in pairs or to homes with a cat-friendly resident cat. Some older kittens or cats may also require a feline companion. Young kittens learn critical social skills—like boundaries, confidence, play behavior, and bite inhibition—from other cats. A feline friend helps them grow into healthy, well-adjusted adults. Meet our darling boy Dexter! Dexter is a delightfully determined kitten who loves playtime almost as much as he loves snuggles. You can find Dexter running around, wrestling with his sister Dee Dee, playing with his favorite ribbon teaser toy, or climbing the cat tree. Dexter is daring, smart, and determined and enjoys figuring out how to climb whatever he can. In a few short days he figured out how to climb to the very top of the cat tree despite his small size. But don’t let his playfulness fool you, while he does love to play he craves the comfort and love of his human friends. This little boy loves being held and will readily melt in your arms for pets. Every morning Dexter will excitedly greet you by rubbing up against your legs (or rather ankles because he’s still so small), and waits for his fill of pets before he eats his breakfast. This handsome little boy would make a great addition to any family who can give him all the love he desires.


Dexter is around 8 weeks old and he’s had his first vaccines, been treated with topical flea control and dewormed.

Dexter is a ‘Foster to Adopt' kitty which simply means he hasn’t been neutered yet, but you can still take him home and love on him until he’s ready to be neutered in a few weeks! After he’s neutered, he’ll be yours to keep, and the adoption will be complete.

Dexter needs a home that has another friendly cat/kitten or better yet, adopt him with his sister Dee Dee. Young kittens need a lot of attention and learning from other kitties, it is necessary for their emotional and behavioral development.
