Hi, I'm Miss Boots.
Before I was rescued, I lived at Oasis Mobile Home Park in Thermal, one of the largest cat colonies Desert Paws Sanctuary has worked to help. Life was tough for a little orange tabby like me.
When I was only about four months old, I was trapped during a TNR effort. I was supposed to be spayed, but I was so sick with a severe upper respiratory infection that I needed medical treatment first. After receiving an antibiotic injection, I was returned to my colony.
A little while later, the rescue team came back to help more cats in the area, and they trapped me again. Unfortunately, I was still sick and struggling. Even though the rescue was already full, they knew they couldn't leave me behind.
That's when everything changed.
They welcomed me into rescue, gave me the care I needed, and named me Miss Boots. For the first time, I didn't have to worry about surviving outside. I could focus on healing, growing stronger, and learning what it feels like to be loved.
Today, I'm healthy, safe, and ready to find a forever family of my own. My days of being a sick little kitten on the streets are behind me, and I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life with someone who will love me forever.
