Cheeks is searching for a forever home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and never experience harm again.

When Cheeks first came into care, he had suffered a devastating injury to his eye. An X-ray revealed something unthinkable… he had been shot through the eye. Miraculously, the pellet missed his brain, though it still remains lodged too deep to safely remove. He has since lost the eye, but somehow, his spirit remains unbroken.

Despite everything he’s endured, Cheeks gets around just fine and lives life like any other cat. His resilience is nothing short of incredible.

Because of his past, Cheeks needs a little time to learn that people can be kind. But once he trusts you, he melts into affection, purring softly, leaning into chin scratches, and happily accepting his favourite butt scritches. He may still swat or hiss if he feels unsure, so he needs someone patient who understands cat body language.

• A calm home without young children
• A family that can give him time and respect his boundaries
• Possibly a home with other cats (he may be okay!)
• Not a home with dogs
