Quiet, Adorable, Introvert
Snowy Sammy is a gentle and beautiful soul with an extra fluffy tail! We don't know about his life prior to arriving at the shelter. But, he is wary of humans and needs someone to show him that people can be trusted. We are convinced, like most shy cats, Snowy Sammy will come out of his shell with patience, kindness and treats - especially Churu nom-noms!
Snowy Sammy definitely has a playful spirit! Cat games and toys get his attention and he seems to have an inner debate about whether to stay hidden or come out and have some fun! He has taken a shining to small stuffed animals, most likely because he associates them with treats. His foster has convinced him there is a connection - which in his case there is - smart kitty!
This handsome boy's orange and white coat is very soft. Touch his fur just once and you are sure to want to do it again and again...and again! Give Snowy Sammy time to get comfortable and you are highly likely to be given an increase in pet privileges as he discovers life is brighter when he shares his loveliness with you.
Snowy Sammy would do best in a low-stimulation household with a cat savvy person who will reassure him so he can get past his uncertainties. He is such a young kitty and has plenty of time to learn and grow into a relaxed, happy cat with a little help from his friend(s). Are you just the friend he is hoping to find? Contact us and see!
Snowy Sammy has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Snowy Sammy can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Snowy Sammy's care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
