Rusty is a typical orange cat - he's outgoing, social, affectionate, and goofy. He can be talkative when he has something important to say, usually when he is hungry or wants attention. He is smart and enjoys working for his kibble with a puzzle feeder, which also helps to slow him down. He loves being around his people and prefers the company of people to other cats, although he does tolerate respectful cats. Rusty is approximately eight years old and is declawed on his front paws, so he will need to be an indoor-only kitty. He has great manners and always uses the litter box, he appreciates naps in the sunshine and snuggling with his people. He would be a wonderful addition to a family or an individual looking for a chill, relaxed, confident companion.
Thanks to a special supporter, Rusty can be adopted for an adoption fee of $60.00. Home visits may be required. If you reside outside the local area there are some different requirements. Personal referrals, a vet referral, an agreement to be responsible for transportation (both ways if necessary) and a commitment to returning the pet to Kitty and K-9 if the placement does not work or your situation changes where you cannot keep the pet. Depending on the circumstances, there may be other requirements as well. All of our cats and kittens will need to be indoor-only family members. Our commitment is to the homeless animals we rescue; we devote tons of love, time, energy and money to their rescue, medical bills and care. Our goal is to find them the very best placement with a lifetime commitment.
