Pegasus - Calico Cat Available for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Pegasus is a stunning young torti-co around 1 year old who has come such a long way since being trapped outdoors last winter. Though shy at first, she has never shown an ounce of aggression. Never a hiss or a swat, just a gentle, nervous girl learning that people can be safe.

After coming into rescue, Pegasus was discovered to have a rare congenital condition that effects less than 1% of cats called uterus unicornis. She was born with only one kidney and a one-horned uterus, which inspired her name. Thankfully, it is not expected to impact her quality of life, and she should continue to live a long, healthy life.

Pegasus has made incredible progress in foster care and now enjoys pets during mealtime, investigating her people, and playing with interactive toys. She loves other cats and would do well with a feline companion, though she could also thrive as an only cat in a calm, patient home.

She is still building confidence and trust, but she is SO close! Pegasus needs an adopter willing to give her the time and understanding she deserves while she continues to blossom into the wonderful companion we know she can be. She has done so well in foster care but we think that last little bit of barrier would be easiest to break down if she had more one on one time in a quieter home.
