American Shorthair Cats Available for Adoption

Meet our delicious Reilly family — mama Mocha and her babies: three daughters Bean, Latte and Macchiato, and two sons Cappuccino and Cocoa!

This family is now accepting the pre-adoption applications and will be available to join their homes around June 10, 2026

We were contacted by a kind neighbor who was doing her best to help an abandoned mama cat and her newborn kittens after the family on her block refused to let Mocha back inside once they realized she was pregnant. One morning, Mocha showed up on the neighbor’s porch and gave birth to five beautiful babies. The very next night, we brought the whole family into foster care.

We can’t even describe how grateful Mocha seemed to finally be safe indoors with her kittens. She is an incredible mama, taking wonderful care of her babies while also showering her foster family with love. Mocha is social, playful, curious, and completely fearless — just a young girl who wants affection and attention.

This sweet little coffee crew is being fostered on Staten Island, NY in a home with two children and another cat, so the kittens are growing up surrounded by love, attention, and socialization all day long. The babies are silly, affectionate, funny little personalities and can be adopted in pairs or into homes with another friendly pet they can bond with.

We would absolutely love for Mocha to be adopted together with one of her kittens, but she can also be adopted separately. Please don’t let this beautiful girl be overlooked. After everything she has been through, Mocha deserves a safe, loving family of her own.

Our cats and kittens are allowed to be adopted anywhere in NYC/NJ/Long Island.
Please note, all our kittens under 6 months old are available in pairs only or to the home with another cat/cat friendly dog. Bonded pairs will not be split up.
