Animal Rescue Friends Network Inc. (ARF’N) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit volunteer organization. We strive to rescue stray, unwanted and abandoned animals in Hernando and other counties and place them in safe, responsible, loving, PERMANENT homes. We also network with many other rescue groups and potential adopters through our Facebook page (“Hernando County Animal Control Friends”), and through email and telephone to get many more animals rescued than we can do by ourselves.





ARF’N is strictly foster-based, our volunteers provide food, shelter, care, and compassion to our furry friends until they find a loving home. All animals in our rescue live in a foster home until they are adopted out. This allows them to g

1.  an approved application


2.  a vet or animal clinic's reference (to prove current pets are current on vaccinations and are spayed/neutered)


3.  a home ownership verification or a landlord's approval


4.  a home visit (not a white glove test, just a visit to make sure our animals will be safe to come home with you)
