Tavi & Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the NYC/LI area, established to help senior and special animals with unique challenges, and is dedicated to improving their lives through public awareness, partnership and teamwork, TTouch therapy, rehabilitation, training, and holistic support, rescue, foster care, and adoption.

Every animal deserves a forever home in a loving family. "Retirement" for our rescues is in a home for their lifetime ... whether in one of our foster homes or, hopefully, in an adoptive home. In their golden years, or for those requiring specia care, they deserve love, a warm and comfortable bed, and a loving family.



No matter how special they are, they still have lots of love to give and can make wonderful pets. Some may need more care, patience and understanding -- especially those who have known many hardships in their lives through abandonment, neglect or abuse. We list our special care animals on our main site, as they too deserve the opportunity to find permanent, loving homes. If you can open your heart and home to even one homeless animal, please complete and submit our adoption application. Or if you prefer to foster, complete our foster application.

Tavi has some wonderful cats available for adoption … and many who need sponsorship to help with their medical care. Won’t you consider sponsoring an adult or senior pet? 

ADOPTION POLICY
Our adoption process includes submission of our adoption application, personal interview, personal and veterinary reference checks, home/spot visits, adoption contract and fee.
All applicants must complete and submit our adoption application to be considered.

Our cats are vetted, vaccinated, tested, spay/neutered prior to adoption. And all are indoor only! If you have a serious interest in adopting, meet'n'greets can be arranged by appointment. Contact us to make an appt or for additional information.
